"Sunrise Sunset ~
"Swiftly Fly the Years ~
One Season Following the Other~
Laden with Happines and Tears" ~
Since our first reunion on August 15th, 1988 there have been many changes and a whole new generation is before us. ("I don't remember growing older, when did they?"). We have been blessed with so many memories and celebrated so many milestones, thru the years. Just because they are unique and so personal to each one of us, I have been honored to share many of them with you. This has been a very special year.
Gerri's niece, Heather gave birth to Allie Lynn on January, 24th. I escaped the snow storm on February 1st to Boca Raton, Florida and visited with my sister, niece and nephews, while waiting for Geri to join me, mid February. We returned home in time to celebrate St. Patty's day, and a suprise brithday party for Gerri aboard the Odyssey in Boston.
Milestones in Your Life... during your lifetime there are very special imporatant events measured by time when they occur, to be celebrated and shared. It is a once in a lifetime honor to be included in such a celebration. Gerri and I have been included and so honored to be a part of this priority in your lifetime.
Although Gerri was under the weather for Chris and Traci Graham's wedding, I was able to attend and extend out best wisheds to the newlyweds. They were married at St. Mary's in Hanover with a fabulous reception that followed at the Halifax Country Club on April 9th.
We were also able to celebrate Easter with Matt and Heather's family and kids at their house in Walpole. It is important to enjoy the little onces whenever we can. They grow so quickly.
Milestone ~ 50 years a priest...
On May 2nd we joined Fr. Jerry, his family, and friends at the Assumption Church in Green Harbor for his Mass celebration commemorating his 50 years in the prieshood. Fr. Jerry was assisted by the presence of 11 other priests as a tribute to his years of service.
To those of us who have had the privilege to know him, he has always been there to counsel, comfort, and administer in times of need, whatever the occassion: be it a wedding, funeral, christening, accident, divorce, or just to use his steps to get to the beach. You know you can alwaqys count on him. He has been a very special friend to me over the 65 years since we first met in Ocean Bluff. We have shared many memories, and weathered many storms over the years. Once again, congratulations on your 50 years, and thanks for just being you. God Bless You, Jerry.
Milestones ~ My sister, Mel's 90th Birthday...
Gerri and I returned to Florida to join my sister's family and their spectacular once in a lifetime weekend celebration at the B Ocean Hotel on the beach at Ft. Lauderdale. Eddie and Michael aranged for a dinner at the penthouse for the family and special guests on Saturday, May 21st. Mel stayed in teh Presidential Suite, Eddie & Michael were in the two adjoining sites on either side, and all the other guests stayed on rooms provided on the same two floors overlooking the water and city. On Friday, we all attended an informatl bar-b-que on the inter-coastal hosted by Michael, not to mention every morning Gerri reserved a cabana at the pool, we had an informal breakfast, and all enjoyed both the pool and the beach during the day.
